Arlington National Cemetery
Arlington Cemetery is 4 blocks from the Hyatt Arlington. Walk past the the Iwo Jima Marine Corp Memorial and its spectacular view of Washington D.C. to the Cemetery's Fort Myer gate.Each year about 4.5 million people visit Arlington National Cemetery to pay homage to the nation's military heroes, presidents and other public figures who have been interred and memorialized within its grounds. The visitor center is open during normal cemetery hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1 through March 31, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. from April 1 through Sept. 30. Popular attractions on the Cemetery grounds include the Kennedy burial site, Arlington House and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.
